Student Council 2024
The Prefect body will be led by the Head Prefects who are directly responsible to, and will work with and under the direction of, the Head Boy & Head Girl. They will be responsible for maintaining student discipline, punctuality and neatness. They are to lead by example and integrity, and to ensure that students follow the school rules with all honesty and sincerity.
The Secretary of Cultural Activities will be responsible to co-ordinate, organise, and host the inter house cultural activities and competitions such as Music and Singing, Dramatics, Dance etc. She/He will also be responsible for coordinating and preparing teams for participation in Inter-School cultural events.
The Literary Coordinator will be responsible to co-ordinate, organise, and host the inter house Literary activities and competitions such as the Quiz, Debate, Elocution, Lit Fest etc. She/He will also be responsible for coordinating and preparing teams for participation in Inter-School Literary events.
The School Reporter will be responsible for writing a report on each school event and activity. These will be sent to the newspapers and may be published, for instance, on the Times of India student page.
They will also be published online on social media, on the Tunbridge High School website and blog, our Facebook page, Twitter, Instagram etc.
As Tunbridge is part of the Times of India Newspaper in Education (or NIE) initiative, he/she will have the opportunity to participate in workshops and training sessions organised by NIE.
The Environment Leader is responsible to create an awareness about the environment and create and conduct campaigns with students to keep the immediate environment clean and green.
The Student Welfare Coordinator will be vigilant and sensitive to students who have problems and need assistance or counseling. She will work with our Child Counselor with the aim that every child at Tunbridge is happy and cared for.
The Choir Leader will be responsible for the Choir members rehearsals, practices and performance. He/She will ensure that the members are punctual, regular in attendance and smartly dressed. He/She will motivate them to perform with enthusiasm and sincerity.
The Band Leader will be responsible for the Band members rehearsals, practices and performance. He/She will ensure that the members are punctual, regular in attendance and smartly dressed. He/She will motivate them to perform with enthusiasm and sincerity. He will be responsible for the Band instruments. He/She will ensure that each member treats their instrument with respect, keeps it polished and in good condition at all times.
