At Tunbridge High School, our Pre-Primary Department is dedicated to fostering the holistic, well-rounded development of each child.
We embrace the concept of multiple intelligences, recognizing that every child has unique strengths and ways of learning. Through play-based learning, we create an environment where children can soak in experiences that promote cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
The focus is not just on academic skills like ABCs, but on developing vital communication, interpersonal skills, and good etiquette. These foundational abilities are supported by a play area, sensory pit, and equipment designed to enhance both large and fine motor skills. Our curriculum also emphasizes life skills, empowering children to navigate their world with confidence.
The Pre-Primary Department is led by dedicated, qualified, and compassionate teachers who view their role as a calling rather than a profession, ensuring that every child’s learning experience is nurturing, engaging, and meaningful.
The Primary Department at Tunbridge High School serves as the cornerstone of each child’s educational journey, spanning from Standard 1 to Standard 4. This is a crucial stage where not only academic foundations are laid, but also where children's personalities begin to take shape. Our approach fosters a balanced development, nurturing a wide range of intelligences, including linguistic, mathematical, kinesthetic, and interpersonal.
We believe in learning through experiences, providing a rich curriculum that goes beyond traditional subjects to help students discover their strengths and develop empathy. Each month, we focus on honing a specific skill through engaging activities, allowing children to explore various facets of their potential. From teamwork and communication to creativity and problem-solving, we ensure that each child’s unique abilities are celebrated.
Our team of caring, qualified, and dedicated teachers plays a central role in guiding students through this vital stage, ensuring that learning is not only informative but also compassionate. The Primary Department at Tunbridge High School is committed to shaping confident, empathetic individuals who are ready to take on the challenges of the future with curiosity and care.
The Middle School Department at Tunbridge High School caters to students in Standards 5 to 7, a pivotal stage where academic focus strengthens and personal growth flourishes. This is a time when children transition from primary education into more structured learning, and we are dedicated to ensuring they are well-equipped for this change.
Our curriculum focuses on developing a deeper understanding of core subjects while fostering critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. We continue to embrace multiple intelligences, supporting not only linguistic and mathematical development but also encouraging kinesthetic, logical, and interpersonal growth. Students are given opportunities to engage in hands-on learning, collaborative projects, and self-expression, helping them to discover their interests and talents.
In addition to academics, we place a strong emphasis on social and emotional development. At this stage, students learn the importance of empathy, respect, and responsibility, both within the classroom and the wider community. With a dedicated team of caring and experienced teachers, the Middle School Department at Tunbridge High School ensures that every child’s learning journey is both enriching and supportive, preparing them for the challenges of higher education and beyond.
The High School Department at Tunbridge High School offers students in Standards 8 to 10 a transformative educational experience as they prepare for their future.
Students choose between the Science and Commerce streams, tailoring their learning to their interests and career aspirations. This stage is characterised by a deep focus on academics, personal development, and experiential learning, which helps our students grow into well-rounded young adults.
Beyond traditional classroom learning, we provide numerous opportunities for students to gain practical knowledge and life skills. Our diverse range of workshops includes sessions on Growing Up, Financial Awareness, Entrepreneurship Development, Leadership Programs, Health Awareness, and more. These workshops are designed to equip students with the tools they need to navigate life successfully, both in and out of the classroom.
Our commitment to experiential learning extends beyond academics with initiatives such as Science Fairs, Outbound Programs, and Daan Utsav, where students experience the joy of giving. Our students actively participate in debates and quizzes at inter school level. These activities encourage students to step outside their comfort zones, explore new perspectives, and develop a global outlook.
High School students also take on leadership roles, guiding their juniors and learning valuable lessons in responsibility, teamwork, and problem-solving while they face the challenges of being young adults. With a comprehensive approach that blends academics, personal growth, and real-world experience, the High School Department at Tunbridge High School ensures that our students are well-prepared for their future endeavours, both academically and personally.
